“MY HACKATHON EXPERIENCE”
Hey Everyone! I’m Srimathi Jagadeesan pursuing UG ECE at KGISL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. Recently I had participated in AI Hackathon related to agriculture. Where there were two rounds, the first round is Problem solution and the second round is POC pitch. This hackathon is focusing on Agriculture, Famers and connecting farmers through the veg route company. Since Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning becoming more powerful, we got an idea to implement a Voice-based chatbot for farmers, An Interactive bot for farmers. Let me tell you what chatbot is? The chatbot is a software application that uses NLP(Natural Language Processing) to communicate with users. It has the capability to understand user queries. which can answer basic queries of farmers & also provides information related to agriculture .Currently, Facebook is the largest platform where farmers are creating their local community groups for sharing the problem. So we’ll be integrating with Facebook (Speech-to-text).Farmers can easily record their voice and they can send immediately; chatbot will recognize and parse the sentence, then it will reply to the farmers for better understanding we’ll be giving multiple options so that farmer can easily click that particular option with the additional modification of their languages (mother tongue). Farmers will get an option to change the language. We’ll be implementing Tamil and Hindi!

The technology in the field of agriculture is developing day-to-day. Also, a large number of software is being simultaneously developed, to educate the farmers with this technological information. Agribot-2k bot actually a virtual assistant through which users can communicate (user-friendly bot).

Looking forward to achieving more! Definitely, this Agribot would be more helpful for farmers. We’ll be work hard for the next two months to develop this product & definitely it will reach more people.
